When Distance Becomes a Story We Tell
Airports used to be about where I was going. Now, sometimes, they’re about who I’m thinking of before I even leave.
Someone once told me that “What are you doing?” was another way of saying “I miss you.” I’ve never heard that question quite the same way since.
There are days I wish I could reach across the distance, offer a hug instead of words, or simply sit beside her when life gets difficult.
But for now, we have our little conversations, our quiet moments, and feelings we’re still learning to understand.
Maybe one day, we’ll share a coffee without a screen between us.
And maybe one day, the distance between us will be nothing more than a story we tell over coffee.
