The global economy is expected to maintain moderate growth in 2026 but faces downside risks, which will enhance gold's appeal as a safe haven.
i) Growth Projections: The IMF forecasts global GDP growth declining from 3.2% in 2025 to 3.1% in 2026, with advanced economies growing at just 1.6%. The World Bank warns of a slowdown to 2.3% in 2025, with only a modest recovery in 2026. In a 'doom loop' (vicious cycle) scenario, such as intensified trade barriers, further deceleration in growth would boost gold demand.
ii) Monetary Policy and Interest Rates: The Fed is anticipated to continue easing in 2026, keeping rates low, which reduces the opportunity cost of holding gold. Policy divergence among European and Asian central banks, with US inflation potentially remaining above the 2% target, will further support prices.
iii) Inflation and Fiscal Pressures: Global inflation is projected to ease, but rebounds could occur due to trade wars or energy disruptions. Gold, as an inflation hedge, will benefit in a high-debt environment.
Overall, economic uncertainty will prolong the gold bull market, though a robust recovery scenario may lead to short-term adjustments.
Geopolitical Situation Analysis
Geopolitical risks remain a primary catalyst for gold prices, expected to persist at elevated levels in 2026, amplifying the 'flight to safety' effect.
i) Major Conflicts: The Ukraine war, Middle East tensions (Israel-Hamas), and potential US-China trade escalations will continue to drive safe-haven demand. The WGC estimates that worsening risks could lift prices by 15%-30%.
ii) Fiscal and Currency Weakening: High US fiscal deficits and potential dollar depreciation will prompt central banks to accelerate gold reserve diversification. East Asian and Russian geopolitical tensions will further exacerbate global instability.
iii) Other Factors: Debt crises and post-election legacies (such as from the 2025 US election) will magnify volatility. In a 'vicious cycle' scenario, geopolitical escalation could propel prices beyond $5,000/oz.
2026 Price Trajectory Forecast
Based on institutional consensus, gold is poised for overall gains in 2026, extending the structural bull market.
i) Baseline Scenario (Highest Probability): Prices rise to $4,500-$4,800/oz, with 15-20% gains, supported by low rates and central bank demand.
ii) Optimistic Scenario (Strong Recovery): If the economy exceeds expectations, prices may retrace to $4,000/oz, but without a major decline.
iii) Pessimistic Scenario (Risk Escalation): Prices surge above $5,000/oz, or higher, amid safe-haven rushes.
JP Morgan forecasts $4,000/oz in Q2 2026, while Deutsche Bank has raised its target to $4,450. Short-term (first half of 2026) pullbacks are possible if Fed rate cuts exceed expectations; the full-year trend remains upward.

约瑟芬: Good points. 👍
Sunday arvo solo yakiniku is my ultimate reset. I slide into this tiny spot around 3, sun pouring in, Asahi sweating on the table. Phone on silent — work who?
First plate lands: wagyu ribbons, marbling like pink snowflakes. Toss ‘em on the grill, tssss—instant happy noise. Fat melts, smell hits like a hug. Flip, sear, dip in ponzu, wrap in shiso… boom. Mouth meltdown. Buttery, smoky, stupid-good.
Coming next: the pair with garlic rice and seaweeds that snaps back spicy. Im people-watching — ties loosening, couples bickering over kalbi, kid nearly torching shrimp. Zero agenda, just me and my tongs.
By golden hour Im stuffed, soul-fed, stress evaporated. Monday? Not today. I stroll out slow, beefy afterglow on my breath. Best self-care ever.

cokefu: คุณเป็นคนไทยไหม
This morning I slid into messages with a girl I’ve been chatting to for like a week and sent her a quick screenshot of my current month’s investment gains. Nothing wild — just solid, steady numbers from a proper, regulated platform.
Girl lost it. “No one pulls returns like that unless it’s a scam. Prove you’re real — facetime right now or you’re a bot.” Straight-up accused me of being a fraud.
Im sitting here like… I was just hyped to share?? Felt so humiliated. Success apparently = sus to some people.
Done with her. Lesson learned: some folks see proof and still scream “fake.”

Its a nice idea but its not true.
Respecting others is often demanded.
A politician can do things that harm your community or your own life directly and based on social cues and the propaganda unleashed by the said politician you would respect her.
If, on the other hand, you have the shape, size, color, gender, passions that dont align with what you see in the world, you might not respect yourself.
There are a lot of people that we respect, that dont deserve respect, just because we are told to respect them. And a lot of us suffer from self-esteem — that might translate to a lack of self-respect, simply because we see ourselves through the eyes of the other. Most often than not is the capitalist machine that needs us to be constant consumers. So whilst others are sold to us as complete and therefore worth respecting, we are told that we are never complete and by contrast not worth respecting.
(I do like the idea that we are never complete, but thats true for everyone and not just you)
