Thanks to you, I came to know the story of Lu You and Tang Wan.
After learning about their lives and understanding their poems, I was left without words.
It felt as though my heart had travelled back nearly nine hundred years to share in their sorrow.
Their love became poetry, and their poetry became something eternal;
so poignant, so beautifully tragic, and so heartbreakingly beautiful.
Some stories are forgotten with time. Theirs only becomes more moving.

Inspired by 《长命女·春日宴》,
I wrote this poem for you,
a humble offering of three heartfelt wishes.
I send these few words upon the gentle breeze,
praying that each dawn and dusk finds you safe and well.
My first wish is that your body and spirit remain strong,
and that long days of work never wear away your light.
My second wish is that your studies unfold with ease,
and that every examination is met with calm confidence and success.
My third wish is that your songs travel across the world,
finding countless kindred hearts that are deeply moved by your voice.
Though we are separated by the ends of the earth,
I will always think of you, wishing you peace and safety, year after year.
